Can I return a barely used, day old mascara at Shoppers Drug Mart?

Yesterday, I bought the Maybelline Pulse Perfection mascara at Shoppers. So I tried it, but only one time, and I didn't like it. I want to go back and return it to buy the Covergirl Eyelights, but I'm not sure if they'll take it back. I have the reciept and the packaging still.

If it's opened they won't take it back - at any store.
