The Black and Decker Spacemaker coffee maker gets a lot of mixed reviews, and plenty of flat out bad ones, but I'm not quite sure why. I haven't had any issues with it to date.
I do not get the reason that there is such a large quantity of bad critiques.

A great deal of consumers seem to whine that installing the unit is a major hassle, but that wasn't the case for me. I purchased this together with the can opener and toaster, so my installation encounter got better while I progressed. I managed to do it in about 5 minutes.

Some others have alleged that their clock loses track of the minutes, however that has yet to occur in my kitchen. I also disagree with remarks that suggest that the appliance does not brew quick enough. I also dispute the commentary that the brewed coffee is not sufficiently warm. The temperature of my freshly brewed coffee has always been great.

I have no spillage or issues using the "sneak a cup" lever leaking, although I do understand that if you do not lay down the carafe in correctly you could have a heck of a of a puddle forming from the leaking during brewing

The water tank is quite interesting contrasted to the kind you generally sees on a counter-top coffee maker you're likely knowledgeable about. But being that it's under the counter and you cannot use a vertical tank to store the water like with a counter-top model, this "drawer" is the second best thing. It's essentially a drawer shaped plastic box featuring a clear removable lid with a large opening in it. The transparent lid can be removed when you have to open it up and rinse it. When you take out the whole reservoir to put water in it, you ought to be mindful when you return it back to its place since the water could splash all over and drip out the top. A number of people complain about this. Simply don't be hurried and go carefully as you put back the reservoir.

I have the Black & Decker Spacemaker set up to the left of my sink area, and that lets me just pull the tank out part of the way, then pour the water inside the opening in the top with no need to remove the entire thing. Next I make use of the tube wand attachment to fill the reservoir to the level I require. Next you can stop the hose, take a glimpse inside the reservoir to see how much water is inside, then when the level is right you push it back inside.

I do notice that it has to be at the right level and the water needs to be settled in order to appropriately figure out what quantity of water is actually inside, but that's the compromise necessary in order to have an under counter coffee maker. If you can't tolerate the idea of spending 15-30 seconds more during the brewing process, then don't order the Black & Decker Spacemaker.

This appliance brews well and I've made roughly 20 pots with it to this point. And I've had nothing but great coffee the whole time.

Where can I find or get instructions for my Black & Decker Espresso Mio?

I found this in my new house still in the package but it has no instruction book. I've tried making it how I thought it should work but have spent more time cleaning my microwave after than drinking espresso. If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it.
