Bosch Battery Drill query.......?

I have a Bosch 18V battery drill, but no battery. I have found a 24v battery that I have made fit, will this really destroy the drill running this battery????

not being an electrician but it would seem that a tool designed to operate on 18V could possibly get ruined by using the 24V. My suggestion would be to put your question to Bosch at
