How To Use an Angle Grinder

If you weld or fabricate metal, you know how important an angle grinder is from start to finish. Grinders are available in variety of sizes. So it's important to choose a size that is appropriate for the task at hand. Larger grinder can cover more area with their larger wheels but are heavier and can cause fatigue. A smaller size may be more appropriate and manageable for smaller jobs.

A respirator is recommended, especially when grinding toxic materials like lead based paint. Gloves and long sleeves have pros and cons in terms of protective value and risk. More brittle metals can produce shards and splinters that may stick in the hands and arms while grinding, but this is not common. Gloves and long sleeves should be tight fitting, as loose cloth actually poses a greater threat: it can catch in the wheel and pull the operator's hand into the blade.

Grinder manufacturers are continually making modifications for improved safety, comfort, and better performance. For example, some new angle grinder models have cut vibration by 60%. The vibration reduction handle system was first offered in Small Angle grinders and is now available in larger angle grinder models.

What is the Best Mixer Grinder available in US for purchase for Indian Style food stuff - Idli Mix grinding et?

I have recently moved to US. Availability of Sumeet Mixie is difficult. What's the best local brand for India Style food mixing and grinding? Else do we have any Indian brands available here in US?

I am a former chef from Canada and have chef friend here who have the dal grinders to make ildi and dosa, the one with the large stone pestle in a rotating bowl, in the US you can get them on-line or as the first person stated a city with a fairly large Indo-Pakistani community, I have seen them here, I live in Toronto and we have about 500,000 to 600,00 people of Indian and Pakistani decent in the GTA, and I would love on except I would not use it, you can buy from Hardware store and some other speciality store grain grinders powered or hand cranked, try health food or natural food shops, call around and tell them your looking to grind rice and lentil into flour, they may even know of a place to buy the ones most found in India and Pakistan.
