The volume of a cone is 1/3(Area of Base)(height) = 1/3(pi*r^2)(height).
so you have pi (3.1416), the radius of the base is the r (radius is half of the diameter, so r =14), and the height is 12 feet
The volume is 1/3(3.1416x14^2)x(12)=2463 cubic feet. They want your answer in yards so a cubic yard is 3ftx3ftx3ft or 27 cubic feet. Divide 2463 by 27 to get your cubic yards, approximately 91.22
