what kinda rear 21 speed rim for my mtn bike should i use?

well ive tryed steel and aluminum rims on my royce union abtract(hard tale) and they always seem to bend is there a titanium or double wall rim i can get that would take a killing before it bends? and its always the rear wheel i never bend the front

-You should try a Wheelset or Rim that is made for Downhill or Freeriding. These wheelsets and rims will take the all pounding that you and your Royce Union can throw at it without bending. If you are going to replace your rear rim, (If you have a 36 hole hub, if not use a 32 hole rim) use a downhill rim with 36 spokes using a 14 guage straight Stainless steel spokes with brass nipples. Use a 3 cross lace pattern and always keep the spokes tight and the wheel true.

-Also change out your tires to the largest and widest you can fit between the rear chain stays. Use a Downhill or Freeride type tire like Maxiss, Kenda, Intense etc. These tires have a stronger sidewall and you can use less air to absorb the hits. Just make sure to use enough air to keep from pinch flats or snake bites. I use a Kenda 2.5 in the rear and a 2.7 in the front of my Intense hardtail drtjumper. I also use the SUN 36 hole "Singlewide" rim without any problems. Sun makes an inexpensive, strong, tough rim called the "Mammoth DH". These are older rims and they can be found really cheap, so do a search and try the Mammoths if you want to save some coin. Good luck on your rim quest.
