I need help,medical question...?

I was cleaning out the shed...There was this 2 x 4 with some metal coat hangers drilled to it,I have no idea why or what it is..but as I was cleaning the "thing" fell onto the side of my face..It was about 2 feet off the ground..I turned my head because I seen it falling,I didn't have time to get out of the way..but I guess a hanger hit my cheek,level with the very bottom of my ear..and below the temple..It bled a little bit,the puncture isn't deep at ALL,it quit bleeding very quickly..but what hurts REALLY bad and is swollen is my jaw line directly underneath where the hanger hit.. I'm guessing the 2 x 4 hit me there...I done this about 45 minutes ago.. It's still swollen,hurts,burning pain if pressure if applied..also hurts into my ear a little bit.....I'm wondering if I should go to the ER,I don't want to because I don't have insurance..or if it's just swollen because I got hit and I'm thinking about it too much...Thanks!

Go to the ER it could be serious. If you don't have insurance the hospital will set up a payment plan for you.
