I got hold of one of these from eBay for a friend and gave it a go - well it was awesome so I got another one also from eBay for $115 AUS all up in good condition used. I have used a number of drivers in the last few years Titleists, NIKE SUMO, Cleveland 460 Comp( also very good) but the BB 460 is by far the best both for distance,direction and forgiveness - I hit more fairways with this driver than ever before - super club and great value for money - it has to be a Callaway Classic.

 

I purchased the Big bertha callaway used. This driver is very forgiving. I previously used a titleist 983K that was awesome when hit. The problem w/ that driver was it had a smaller clubface, which meant less forgivness. Anyhow, i'm still in the beginning faze, but i picked up my driving game pretty quickly. I'm able to hit nice draws and fades w/ this driver. I would definetely recommend it, and i plan on keeping it for a long time.

 

I bought the bb 460 yesterday and took it to the driving range. I loved it. My ball went straight and 225 yds. I liked it because you could swing nice and easy and it would pick up off the tee and go. You didnt have to kill it. Very Good Driver to me.

Should cricket shoes have a titanium piece on the tip of it? (or some other sort of padding)?

I was thinking titanium because it is light and a metal so it is strong.

Here's why: Today in the nets, I was batting against a pretty good off-spinner. He gave my a flighted delivery which I swept, then he gave me a short delivery that I pulled, another short delivery that sharply spinned so I had to play the cut-shot (I'm a left-handed batsman), and I guessed he was getting a bit angry after that. Then he gave me a blistering fast top-spinner which directly hit my toe and dislodged the toenail.

Shouldn't they make some sort of shoe with extra padding on the tip? Whats the disadvantage of that?

i know it would have hurt, but i think theres a simple solution and i think most cricketers use one of these things

its called a Cricket Bat! they use it to hit the ball so that the ball doesnt hit them! LOL

sorry, just takin the mickey out of you, but seriously, i dont think theres a real need for extra padding, cos as any coach would say 'if you hit the ball, you wont have this problem'

i would also say maybe use something made from rubber or so other absorbent materal, i can see where your thinking with the titainium, but it would send the price of cricket shoes thru the roof and also i dont think it would do the bowlers any favours to be jamming there feet onto a metal plate over after over, also there could be the problem of the plate bending and pinching on there toes, also if the plate were to crack it could also do some serious damage to the wearers toes
